Description
The small, digital-only Xbox. No disc drive at all, 512GB of SSD storage, and a 4 TFLOPS graphics part against the Series X's 12, so it targets 1440p rather than native 4K.
The trade case for it is volume. It is materially cheaper per unit and much smaller and lighter than the Series X, which cuts volumetric weight on air freight and lifts the units-per-container figure on sea. For price-sensitive markets it is usually the faster mover of the two.
The caveat is worth stating to buyers plainly: it cannot play disc games or Blu-ray films, so every title has to be downloaded. In markets with weak or metered broadband that is a real limitation, not a detail.
Supplied brand new and sealed in retail packaging. Stocked in both capacities: the 512GB model and the 1TB model, which doubles the SSD for buyers who install more than a couple of large titles at a time. Same console otherwise, same digital-only design with no disc drive.
